Valco Removable Adapters are for the use of capillary columns with Valco valves. They provide direct connections of fused silica tubing within Valco fittings for maximum bore uniformity and inertness. The FSR adapter is recommended for use in valves. It consists of two components: a liner which slides over the fused silica tubing, and a ferrule. Both are made from polyimide. The liner is designed so that it and the capillary tubing will be removed from the valve as the nut is unscrewed.
